Wasn’t the main issue against TB the fact that Ben Johnson completely refused to run playaction plays? I recall the play calling being absolutely bizarre during that one.
The main issue was that we failed to execute in and around the red zone. Like you I do remember feeling some curious playcalls were made but tbh I can’t remember the specifics. I think maybe there was a 4th and 1 toss sweep to Gibbs at a crucial juncture late in the game.
The Vikings lead the NFL PI yardage, and the Lions have have the most in PI yards against them. They also have the officiating crew that has thrown the most PI flags.
So even though the Lions prefer to play man coverage, this could blow up in their faces.
I’m expecting more zone this game to be honest. But we will still play a lot of man.
I’m hoping to see more two high zone concepts this week.
