How important is the Tight End position?

We shall see brother! Brock can block a bit. Mitchell is more a WR than TE. so maybe the 2 together can equal Hock!

One thing to remember is we don’t get to see how talented some of these guys are in the passing game during real games. If you’ve spent time with some of these players off the official football field, you’d realize how many of them have more skills than we know about. Joe Dahl for instance has movement skills and has decent hands. But you wouldn’t really know that just watching him at his official position.

Mitchell is not a Gronk-like power blocker… but I think he could be adequate (i.e…… perhaps more reliable than Hock).

Some of the scouting reports agree…

One more thing about James Mitchell….

Hendon Hooker used to throw passes to him at Va. Tech.

Well I wish him nothing but luck! I’d expect he’s about to get a ton of snaps.

But guess who is….my boy Mayer!

Snags:

You forgot about Kittle!!!

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say the Lions are going to have a very good duo at WR next year. Need to add depth to the position as the only other player worthy of retaining is Reynolds…but I have confidence the WR group is going to be a +

That being said, I don’t think TE is that important because of the skill set of our top 2 WRs. And let’s face it, if either of them miss any time next year, we are gonna suck anyway. Jamo and ARSB playing on a weekly basis will probably be a big factor in determining our record.

Draft one in the 3rd round or later…it is far down the list on this teams current needs.
