Need everyone’s help with this, and preferably pretty soon.
My dad and I are completely on the fence of whether or not we want to make the three hour drive to Atlanta for the game tonight. We’re priced out right now, but we think that if the market was to get cut in half a lot closer to the game, that we’d be able to get tickets last minute and get in. We have to sit in the lower bowl since my dad doesn’t like the heights of the upper deck, so if you were going to go look at what the prices are right now for reference, don’t look anywhere else.
We’ve been watching the trends in the prices like hawks over the past week, and the tickets have actually gone up over that time frame. There was no downward trend over the past 24 hours, including the night before gameday.
We’d both love to go, but we REALLY want to avoid the scenario where we get to Atlanta right before game time and we can’t get tickets.
Have you guys ever tried to do something like this before? If so, were there any trends you noticed that we should be looking for?
We’ll probably make our decision whether to go or not in the next hour or two.
You also need to pay attention to the weather, it is going to be a shit show in GA. If the forecasts are accurate with snow and ice you could be in ATL for a day or three. 19 degrees this morning in GA and colder tomorrow. Snow, ice, sleet starting late night today early am Tuesday.
…WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING…
WHAT…Periods of snow that could be moderate to heavy at times. Total snow accumulations up to two inches possible. Light freezing rain and sleet will be possible in portions of east central Georgia early Wednesday morning. Ice accumulations less than 0.1 inch are possible.
WHERE…Portions of central, east central, north central, northeast, northwest, southeast, and west central Georgia.
WHEN…From Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning.
IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.
No chance in hell we buy tickets. And now we’re both going to miss the first quarter walking back to our car in the freezing cold to go watch it in a hotel room.
I’m just having fun, so don’t take me too serious if at all. I hope you two have a blast tonight and create a ton of good memories…should soften the loss…
