It was just last offseason that we signed St Brown to his 30mil AAV contract. Some criticized the contract and thought we overspent.
Now look at the top WR contracts. St Brown is already down to 7th highest paid. He makes as much as Brandon Ayuik. DK Metcalf makes 3mil more AAV. Terry McLaurin is likely pushing for 35mil.
Lions really need to give his 30mil AAV and Hutch 40mil AAV because contracts are skyrocketing.
This is what happens when you attack the market and set the market rather than reacting to the market.

There’s a lot more to being the best WR in the game than catch rate. Love ARSB and wouldn’t trade him for the world…but 3 maybe 4 WRs above him are better than him. 3 by a wide margin.
