So saying that Amon Ra piles up catches and yards is a bad thing? I don’t get it…He is a Slot Merchant, just like Welker was and he is a damn good one. It’s just like Game Manager for QB’s, you can be a really good one or a really bad one.
ARSB runs more than half of his routes outside now, and has the past two years. He’s no different from Kupp, Lamb, Diggs, Devonta Smith, Rashee Rice, all of whom have run more routes out of the slot than ARSB (well Rice is basically the exact same). We DO scheme him touches, but that’s just good damn coaching.
Jayden Reed is who he should have called out. That guys runs out of the slot almost 70% of the time and has more schemed-up touches than anyone not named Deebo.
Pickens needs to work on his craft. He’s got so much natural talent but he’s not really any better now then he was when he was 18.

Yeah, from a talent perspective there was no reason for him not to go top ten. It was all the other stuff that caused him fall deep into the 2nd. Or 90% the other stuff and 10% the injury.
I remember seeing him in his Freshman year bowl game and thinking he would be an easy top ten pick. Then he had the knee injury and simply plateaued as just a great trick shot WR. Just never cared enough about nuances.
He’s kind of the antithesis of St. which may be why he picked him.
