I’m not so sure. I didn’t want to get in it in the other thread, but game changing plays and team success can overshadow The consistent excellence Sauce has shown all year.
The Jets faded badly down the stretch and the Lions have been one of the best teams and Hutch was a huge part of our success.
Sauce Definitely deserves to win I just don’t think it’s a slam dunk.
The Jets offense sucks.
Their defense has played great all year… allowed 20 points or less in 10 of 13 games. They are 3rd ranked defense in NFL and 4th best in scoring defense.
I watch the jets every week. I know that defense is good. Was extremely disappointed in how they played yesterday. My point is if the Jets we’re winning more games I think Sauce would be even more popular. To be honest I’m not even sure how they vote for ROY so being on a winning team might have nothing to do with it.

Hutchinson is on a tear right now, and he has firmly put himself among the leaders in the DROTY race. He leads all rookies in sacks with seven, and his continued improvement on the defensive line has helped the defensive unit as a whole improve. If the Lions make the playoffs, Hutchinson could see his stock rise even higher with bigger performances.
Seems like making the playoffs would matter in voting? But I honestly thought the awards were made before the playoffs started?
