Hutch Vs Parsons Stat Comparison

So seeing some reactions to the trade and whatnot. And i think most rational people would agree Parson and Hutch are both top tier DE in the NFL.

However one video i was watching they mentioned Parsons stats. But then someone argued “yea easy to boost your numbers playing Washington and NYG 2x a year”

Which got me thinking. How good are those stats?

So I took Hutch and Parsons career stats.

Then removed the game where they played a bottom 10 OL team in the nfl that year. (According to PFF) and wow. Massive difference.

Nearly half of parsons career games have been against a bottom 10 OL.

Where Hutchinson is under 25% (yes Chicago all 3 years were horrible)

So yes, while hutch played against backups last year (those stats are removed) parsons also played against horrible OL.

Hutchs numbers when removing the bad teams actually went up slightly.

Parsons? Sacks down 30%

Pressures down 20%

Pressure+TFL rate down 15%

Those adjusted number for parsons are still top tier especially considering it’s against good teams. But definitely a step down from what hutch is doing

I like my edge rushers to be bigger than 6’3” 245. That’s my biggest issue with Parsons…..and doesn’t sound like he’s the best team guy. He’s got great talent but honestly not sure he would fit this team. Could you imagine Sewell or Hutch laying on a trainers table during the middle of a preseason game? Would I love him on our team? Of course, but not at the expense of one of core guys.

during the predraft process he sat down with a player for a podcast where he threw his coaches under the bus for a bowl game loss that he held himself out of.

Fast forward 3 years and he’s throwing Jerry under the bus for his draft picks. That we are here today with him traded is no surprise. Gutekunst has Rodgers v2. Can’t wait for the 2027 draft when Parsons throws him under the bus for not helping the defense out early, disregarding that they’re down a pick used to pick him up. LOL

Parsons definitely is a drama queen however.

Jerry tried to royally screw him over.

He negotiated a deal with out his agent present. Then when parsons agent looked at the deal and said no way. Jerry got pissed. Then every time jerry came back to the table. Another DE got paid so Parsons wanted more.

If Jerry would have involved the agent from the get go. Like the NFL rules state. He probably would have got a deal done over a year ago for $35m
