I agree with Dan and Brad they are not far from getting back on track.
1 - Hire the right OC to run your offense.
2 - Trade for DE Bradley Chubb. These are the type of trades Brad makes. He doesn’t need to break the bank whether FA signing or big trades. Miami will probably rebuild and move on from him. I think a future 3rd or this years 4th or something can do it. Brad traded a 3rd for CDIII. This would be similiar.
3 - Sign an OG/C much like he did for Zeitler. One of the better OG’s in the league without breaking the bank long term.
4 - Draft OT in the first round. Plenty of good LT’s or RT’s have been drafted in the mid-late 1st round. Decker was one of them.
5 - Draft DE in he 2nd round. Need depth and hopefully a future starter.
That’s it I think he just needs to switch them around, DE in the 1st and OT in the second, that seems were I find better value for both, unless Fano drops he can Play LT.
That reminds of when I’d play super tecmo bowl and run a whole season with the Barry Lions, get all the way to the champ game, and every other play I’d get the screen cut away of the ambulance cart taking away an injured Lion…so I’d hit the reset button and start over, so that was nice.
I can fix the lions in 4 moves! Wait this isnt name that tune.. your list is ok.. theres 3 decent samoans who can be good tackles in that area of this draft. Grab one of them.
Sign the best possible Center or versatile IOL who has a chance to play OC.
Draft OT in the first round. That guy can play guard if Decker is going for another season. Also, draft a developmental C on day 3 if the FA you signed was a OG instead of a OC. Great depth and competition created on the OLine.
Sign a starting caliber Edge who isn’t INJURY PRONE. There is a TON of viable options this offseason…
Sign a starting caliber Safety.
Re-sign as many of the depth DBs as possible. We really added a lot of depth at Corner last offseason. Just were extremely unlucky with injuries. I would like to see Rock and Maddox brought back. Counting on Rackstraw to finally be healthy. That’s some pretty solid depth right there. Loved Amik here but I think it’s time to move on. But wouldn’t be upset if he’s brought back in favor of the more versatile guys I mentioned.
I want both coordinators replaced…but I think Shep is unlikely. Really hoping McDaniel is the OC we land, but there are several others I would be content with.
