I think you may be right. But I also think there may be a lull before seeing that progress in the win column. Just too big of talent discrepancies at certain positions. I’m optimistic that we can be .500ish next year.
The Lions played decently against Green Bay for 30 minutes. Decently.
The SF game looks good on paper because the entire second half was Pad Statford time.
The Ravens, who easily could have started 0-2, were incredibly banged up and dropped some passes that would/should have been backbreakers. In the first half, their kicker missed what was, for him, a chip shot. That was the first time he ever missed in a dome. Ever. He doesn’t play in a lot of domes, but still.
I’m not going to say that you’re wrong about this team being pointed in the right direction, but the games haven’t been that close, and the one game the Lions should have won was against a team that cannot fairly be considered one of the best.
