I’m on Record… -7 to 10 wins relax

no doubt about it… we need to see improvement.
I don’t like to assign a win total… just because there are so many variables when it comes to injuries.
Assuming a fairly healthy season… and I agree that anything less than 7 wins is a concern.
With Jamo, Okwara (maybe both), Paschal, and Levi uncertain….
I am not sure what to expect at the moment.

I’m on record with 11 wins. Too late to back down, now.
If we don’t hit that it will be on the Defense, or 15 injured starters.

I have said 6-8 wins. I said 3 wins last year and hit that number. I’ll stick w 6-8.

I hate the tart reference.

People got really salty last year at this time with others’ record predictions. I mean, the roster screamed “early draft pick” but it was not well-received when discussed here.

I’m falling where Vegas is on these guys. 6.5 wins.
I had to pick either 6 or 7, I’d probably pick 7.

We’ll see, though. Other teams could really end up stinking this year.

Last year was a great year for my mental health. I honestly enjoyed the growth and the effort. As they improve the expectations will rise.

It would be nice to see either Levi or Pascal healthy.

My 1st two bets of the season.

For real…im concerned about Levi. Paschal will be good if and when healthy his tape doesnt lie. Not sure what Holmes saw that almost made him move up to draft Levi?

Betting on the preseason seems akin to betting on a coin flip.

So in the real world….

Weeks 1-8

She’ll shocked QB
New systems both sides
First time DC and HC, and demoted HC as OC

20 year old LT and Matt Nelson were out “bookends”
Evan Brown our UDFA was filling in for our All Pro C
Our top 2 WRs were Q Cephus and K Raymond?

We obviously had some issues with Collins attitude
We lost Okudah and Romeo pretty early too…

————————————————————————

Weeks 9-18

QB who started coming into his own and had 107 ratings and 3-2-1 record

Replaced broken offensive scheme and playcaller

HC, DC and other assistants started winning over team, and it resulted in a few wins.

Decker and a more conditioned Sewell were our bookends!

Evan Brown finally had some nfl experience.

Our top 2 receivers were ASB and Reynolds!

We had guys like Jacobs, McNeill, JO, Bryant, and AO start stepping up….

————————————————————————-

SO OUR ROSTER FROM WEEK 1-8 WOULD HAVE LIKELY BEEN A 2 WIN TEAM….

THE ROSTER FROM WEEK 9-18 XOULD HAVE POTENTIALLY BEEN A 5-6 WIN OVER THE WHOLE SEASON…

Now add experience to McNeill, Sewell, ASB, Barnes, DC, Glenn, Ben J, etc…

Then add Hock, Ragnow, Okudah, Chark, and AO healthy week 1…. And hopefully some help from Levi, Paschal, Romeo and Jamo by week 6!

We are better at every position and it’s not close

Yes to all of this. As much as I trust Holmes, I really want to believe in Levi, but so far…

Like all Lions’ GMs, he was overcome by the spirit of the Lions 2nd Round “I’m smarter than draft analysts and here is how I show them” Ghost. Happens nearly every year.

And we have to be that much better because we were that bad. Other teams are also getting better…we still have a ways to go.

Levi has spent most of both camps and his only season on IR.
We have no idea what we have. I mean, besides nothing, so far.
Obviously Brad didn’t see a long term injury.
Makes me a little nervous about the injured players we just drafted, that have yet to see the field.
Well, we know that Sewell, St. Brown, and Hutch are great picks. Cross our fingers for the rest.

The draft analysts I saw had Levi ranked as a late 1st rounder or 2nd rounder….

Interesting–in the days after the pick people on the board posted numerous analysts that had him 3rd-4th. Not a huge deal, though–the pick was made and he’s a Lion.

I’m of the belief a team desperate for talent shouldn’t take guys with injury red flags, which were noted by many when he came out of college.

I still hope he works out! I really, really want him to. They could really use another great player on the DL. But those back injuries…not great.
