That is best case scenario if we draft a guy in the first 51 picks.
I think so. It won’t be 2023/2024 level, but they can get there. I think picking an RT and moving Sewell left is the way to go. Proctor is still my guy for that RT spot. Keeping with this physical gritty kick your ass OL. I’m thinking this team might transition to a more power blocking scheme for the run game.
It’s still very early in the new year, and there’s plenty of time for roster moves—whether that’s trades or even June 1st cuts. We’ve seen before that impact players can emerge immediately; if Penei was able to come in and play at an elite level as a rookie, there’s no reason to assume others can’t do the same.
The bigger point is that it’s far too early to start making firm assumptions about how everything will play out. Decker hasn’t even signed with anyone yet.
Let’s take a breath and allow the situation to develop before jumping to conclusions. I encourage you—and everyone else—to do the same and let the process unfold.
If Mahogany can stay healthy, he will become a mainstay on that line.
You mean the one with FOUR 1st round picks on it? Shocking lol
I Think Frazier is the superior talent, so I wouldn’t be so sure Mahogany wins that job. But it’s a good thing for competition to elevate both of their games.
The depth on the O-line is already better than last year.
Borom, Frazier being healthy, Scruggs, McLaughlin, maybe Manu even takes a step.
That’s a heckuva lot better than Skip, Colon, Awosika, Eguakun and Sorsdahl.
Browns also released Jack Conklin. He’s older, but plenty experienced (2x All-Pro) and might be a hometown discount as a backup/competition OT. Grew up in Plainwell and played at MSU.
Other than Sewell we have down graded every position. Not sure a smart ass lol, is going to be funny when the season starts and our offense gets eaten alive against good defenses again. We know our Defense isn’t stopping anyone. Looks like we should get used to mediocre sub.500 seasons.
I think we are better at LT, C, and likely RG. Would expect a wash at LG at worst, and a big drop off at RT.
I think the line we he at least as “good” as last year.
I’m not sure about LG. I want to believe that our Mahogs or Frazier can step in and be a good starter, but I think its somewhat up in the air.
My two cents of complete nothingness….Borom as of right now is the RT. Gives the Lions flexibility in the first. I would like them to take a RT in the first but the gaping hole at DE is also concerning. I think you have to go RT in the first if you want a RT (BLAKE Miller, The Utah Boys etc).
Good to see you back man
That is the equation. FA can still help but we need a good OT and a solid #2 DE. Though to get them both in this draft. Gotta find a way.
This draft is deep at the 3 things the Lions need most.
DE, OL and safety. Free Agency has lined up in a way for them to get what they need BPA…..
Why hello there.

What are your thoughts on Borom? We have barely discussed him on the den ![]()

He’s no Zadarius Smith.
His name is Metaloid.
