The People Mover is running again this week (free for 2024) and opens up my old favorite spot to park (small lot near Fort/Cass stop).

It used to be only $5 to park there. I think it is $10 now. From the time I start my car, I’m on the highway with no traffic in under 1 minute.

There have been many Thanksgiving Day games, but there is only one Aretha Franklin. She sang the National Anthem and pounded it out on a trusty church upright piano for 4 minutes and 55 seconds in 2016. I will never forget that. She took no prisoners, if you don’t count the viewing audience. I loved the viral memes from that day.

I parked in the ramp attached to the stadium. Spendy but right there if you don’t want to do anything before or after

My 1st turkey day game was at Tiger stadium in 75 during a blizzard. Had a pint of Scotch, surrounded by insane fans.

All was right in the world.

Regardless of direction…driving away from the stadium after the game is always a good idea. :sunglasses: :+1:

Have a great time HSV!..I’ve never been there as well

Is there anything semi-cool anyone is planning on doing before the game? Is there anything that a first timer should do but maybe isn’t necessary for someone who’s been there before?

We’re still deciding what time we want to drive up from Toledo. We want to get there before we have to go straight into the stadium, but we don’t know what to do beforehand.
