So…since this will be my FIRST game at Ford Field…I have a couple of questions.
Firstly, where should we park? I’ve been to a few Tigers games at Comercia before and we just parked in the decks right across the street but I feel like it might be a bit different for a Lions game. Hopefully we can park somewhere that we can get out of semi-quickly to make it back down to Toledo in time for Thanksgiving dinner at my grandparents house.
Secondly, can I bring in a sign? And if so, how difficult is that to pull off? I want a sign that says “HSVLion wuz here” with a Kilroy on it to show you guys on TV.
I think we’re going to be in section 137 for anyone else near that area.
I like to park in cork town and take the shuttle from McShanes I believe at the corner of Michigan and Trumble. I think it is like 10 a head for shuttle but you get bar credit of something.
last time I was at FF we went to see Five Finger Death Punch & Metallica-getting a place to park was a nightmare, ended up paying $80 to park 3 blocks away from FF.
In order to bring a sign you have to apply for a permit, which takes months to get approval for. Given the timeline you will only be able to bring signs with the remaining slogans that are already approved and available to make a sign with. I just checked “Lions Gameday Signs .com” and the only sign I am seeing immediately available is:
“The Lions blow out opponents like Weasel’s Evil Queso blew out my butthole!”
The Bricktown parking deck found in the spothero app is my go to. It’s one block down from Greektown. Quick 8-10 min walk to FF and right on/off of 375.
I have season tickets just booked my parking for 44 in a similar area to the Bricktown garage i like the Greektown area easy in easy out from 375 closer to the stadium is more money and you will be stuck in traffic. Also i would plan to be inside at least a hour before kickoff the stadium is packed now
I park at UWM Garage. Pretty easy to get on 75 after. You’ll have a blast! Enjoy the day with your Dad and let’s be thankful to have such an amazing team to cheer for.
