You mean like… bringing Jacobs somewhere in the same time zone as the guy across from him? Maybe even close enough where they could play rock-paper-scissors?
Insanity, clearly.

Tracy is back and if Branch is behind him to cover, he loves going to get the QB and as we know, is also not afraid to tackle. TW is a dude.
All that being said. This was a really hard team to prepare for. That wr core is a top 3 unit in the league and it’s not a good matchup for us…going into the season i kept reading that this was going to be our 2nd or 3rd hardest game on the schedule. So I am still very high on where we are going and Motorcity Dan is going to get it done.
late last year we turned our season around-wasn’t AG a part of that? and you guys are unstable as F if all it takes is one game that we almost had in overtime -that we lost …to want to hang a guy and question his job here. If it keeps happening THEN there is a real issue because it’s, happening several times . yes I was disappointed we lost be we were a razor’s edge from winning . to.
There are a few things that come to mind for me after watching the game several times:
1). AG’ s in game adjustments are lacking- Seattle came with a plan to beat our zone defense with short passes and timing patterns. We need to adjust, get up on the WR and disrupt the timing passes, and give our line time to get there. They also threw to areas of the field. Again bump and run until they stop. It’s just like loading the box to stop the run.
2). Campbell’s in game adjustments are also a problem.- if you see your defense is struggling to stop the other team you have to dial down the aggressiveness, I love Campbell’s aggressiveness, however the aggressiveness has to be tempered with game situations. Against a team you have had problems with, take the points. Going for it on 4th down on your side of the field when you are up, may not be the best idea.
3). Turnovers- turnovers on your side of the field is hard to overcome especially if it directly leads to a touchdown. Two turnovers on your side of the field one directly leading to a touchdown helped spur that Seattle victory.
4). The switching in and out of linebackers is not working. AG, MCDC, need to pick 2 line backers and stay with them. I don’t know why, right after a player makes a tackle, they take him out the game, that isn’t working. It’s like taking the guy with the hot hand out the basketball game. Find the linebackers that are playing well and leave them in the game.
Against the Falcons, if the Lions don’t run some 3 linebacker sets they will lose. Atlanta is a running team AG needs to make the adjustment.
Geno was in the PB last year. Seattle was in the playoffs. We had zero sacks and Geno was able to sit back and complete 80% of his throws. I guess at least this year we were able to stop their running game. Honestly you take away the two turn overs in the second half and we win that game. But it’s almost like we need to start playing starters in the pre season or something to get the defense on the same page. This is year 3 and it still looks like we don’t know what we’re doing out there.
On paper only. It;s misleading as they have played Carolina and GB.
If the Lions can’t be expected to beat the Seahawks at home, how “for real” are they honestly as a contender? AG better tighten up this defense over the next month because the Lions have some real winnable games coming up. At least winnable if they are indeed the contender this board as crowned them as.
Was talking about seattle. Ridder cant throw. This is a good matchup for detroit.
I think Dan gets part of that blame he is allowing it, but Dan usually changes things that’s not working , got some reason they keep going to the read and react that hasn’t worked in the past, when they switch to the attacking style we got better.
. They should win the next 4 games. The seahawks are a horrible matchup for the lions. Still should have won. Cant have 14 points from turnovers.
Ah. I was thinking ATL. They may be undefeated but reality is coming.
I could have been clearer. Thsts on me.
NO Aaron Glenn is NOT A problem , we are set for battle with a high possibility to WIN this week over Baltimore. wouldn’t that make us 7 and 1 if we beat them? I do not see any issues with Glenn ATM.
Wow, in hindsight. This thread looks like a bunch of over reacting fans - which, I mean is implicit in the word “fan.”
Fan is short for fanatic
All definitions of fanatic lead to chaos
OH Yeah 6 & 2 ```he’s a problem. tell me are you always that stupid or do you work hard at it?
