He got set on fire Monday night as bad as any Lion corner has all year. They were picking on him.
Eagles fans have been down on him all year.
Yeah, this is the issue. And if he’s cheap, why not? But it’s another reason I doubt we’re paying too much. And frankly if it gets out, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone offers more than we would.
Yea… That doesn’t sound like a fit at all. Campbell talks about doing your job constantly. Freelancing corners that don’t tackle would be a very surprising addition.
A 6’4” CB who runs a 4.26 who can be got for a late round pick.
sounds like a solid addition
I agree. No long-term commitment. See what he can do.
Reed, Rock Ya, Rakestraw, Dorsey, Abney (who is a safety now?) and McCreary.
Yea, add this guy and see if we can field an average secondary.
So i asked around.
I wouldn’t focus on the account.
But the idea is plausible. The account is almost certaintly a limo driver scenario. But woolen would be a corner that isn’t a blockbuster but could help.
It’s likely just made up but he’s clearly being marketed and there are so few available corners so it’s a believable scenario.
yup totally W YA.
Exactly the type of trade I’d expect Brad to make. A CB who has struggled recently and would only cost a late-round pick.
I don’t personally see how he fits here, but that’s just me.
Mind sharing the reasoning behind the clamoring? No worries if not since you’ve doubtless done it before; I just haven’t seen it.
I don’t know the player, but for a guy with his length and speed his performance seems pretty meh from what I’m reading. Nice to have a bit more depth, especially if they aren’t willing to play Whiteside, but … that’s about it, far as I can tell. ![]()
I have seen Riq make some great plays in coverage this year. I thought wow he has really turned it around, Then I see him against the run and he just turns away from contact as if he doesn’t want to get involved. He didn’t even try to push the guy out of bounds or at least get in the way. The RB was Kyren Williams who is not exactly Derek Henry.
Don’t know your buddy but I share his opinion after watching CeeDee Lamb screw Riq into the turf multiple times last week. He looked awful. Woolen holds an overall PFF defensive grade of 63.1 this year, (ranking 42nd among qualified cornerbacks). Against Dallas Riq graded out at 39.5. I’ll pass. Pun intended.
ah yes, remember when people thought we should have drafted him. I honestly am not referring to anyone…just have memories of people complaining when he seemed decent his first year or so.
I’ll take him but hope its not for a 3rd. Seems rich for how he’s been playing the past couple of years. If thats the case we should’ve just spent the 2nd for JPJ.
