I live well outside of the Detroit media area, I’m starved for Lions’ news, and I still ignore much of the Lions sports media because it’s terrible.

Nah…when things aren’t going swimmingly for Goff he has total tunnel vision on ARSB. I would like to see the correlation of Ra’s biggest target/reception/yard games are actually in Detroit losses. He might score a bunch of touchdowns when things are rolling, but just off the top I feel he’s games are fairly pedestrian when this offense is clicking on all cylinders.
I mention this because Mahomes isn’t gonna do that. He also has a pretty big portion of his passes coming from fire drills. And not because he has to but because he chooses to do it. I give almost no shot Ra puts up better numbers with a QB like that vs the pocket statue/play action specialist Jared Goff. They are quite literally the perfect fit for each other.
I know people love Ra and don’t want to admit he has any deficiencies in his game, but he has one that doesn’t mesh with Pat at all. He is almost a non existent deep threat. I already know people are gonna boil over me saying that…but it’s a fact. It’s not “that’s just not his role here,” type a thing. If you are an elite WR in this league, it’s 100% part of the package. He doesn’t go deep because he isn’t good at it. Might even be down right awful at it. It doesn’t take away how elite he is at everything else, but it does in fact not mesh well with Mahomes play style.

Ra would replace Kelce. And I am a firm believer that everything you just stated is why his numbers would be just as good or better.
Mahomes used to force feed Kelce to no end.
I actually don’t rank Kelce in my top 5 all time TE but I know he is ranked by many in top 3.

I just don’t agree at all.
Ra and Goff both raise each other up. Neither are as good as their numbers suggest or without each other. Goff is top 3 statistically for QBs over the last 3-4 years. He’s not a top 3 QB…not a chance. Same goes for Ra.
I realize people will

But after hearing some players in the league talk about Ra I do actually think he is a clear top 10 for sure and maybe top 3 WR
As FA as Goff. I love his strengths and hate his weaknesses
I kind of view QB as a position that you need someone who has the ability to win when it is good. Which the Lions have that. And some QBs are better at making it happen without as much help. But in general they all need help. No one is perfect.
