This is a business. You only get so many opportunities at a promotion. Dan encouraged Ben to take the interview. So this umbrage on your part is a waste of energy when the actual people involved, the relationships involved are in full support of what he is doing.

That him leaving for any team this year is not set in stone that the reality is he is more then likely staying and that is why he has made it known that his requirements are so stringent. Dan is a big brother to Dan, ever single person that coaches for Dan is loyal to him. You talk about loyalty, the other thing that matters to Dan is genuineness. He wants what is best for all his coaches and players and he will not stand in anyone’s way for them to better themselves. Taking a bears interview is a fact finding mission for both sides. It has nothing to do with loyalty or disloyalty. Everything Ben has done for the last 3 years screams loyalty and family. This is no different. This is not about money.
