I've found it!

At long last, someone made a highlight video for Travon Walker…

If what @Thats2 said in another thread about him becoming a top 10 prospect post-testing is true, then I am thinking about taking him at 2 and definitely loving him in a trade down.

Assuming he doesn’t jump up that high I will gladly take him with the Rams pick or at 34.

What if we took Kyle Hamilton, then took Travon Walker? I’d call that a pretty good impactful 1st round.

UGA has been my second team for over 20yrs, since moving to the Athens area. Would be happy with Dean, Walker or Wyatt and love Walker far more than Davis.

What do you think about Quay Walker and Channing Tindall? They got overshadowed by Dean and I have some similar concerns (namely, how will they fare playing behind a worse DL than the one they played behind at Georgia?) I’m glad both are on our roster at the Senior Bowl.

Daniel Jeremiah has Walker at #13 in his mock right now… before the Senior Bowl and Combine… so pretty safe to assume he won’t be sliding too far if he doesn’t get hurt.

I like both of them but they aren’t at the level of Dean or Lloyd, at least in my non scouting opinion, so take with a big BIG grain of salt.

I might roll the dice on one of the OL from UGA in the later rounds if they are there, but that is a UGA biased thought.

And don’t take me wrong, I like Davis, I just don’t know how he will hold up stamina wise in the NFL vs SEC where as good as it is it is still a big jump to NFL level.

There’s no way I see Walker being a top 5 pick.

What do you think of Shaffer and Salyer? I’m interested in guards day 3 and I believe both are on our Senior Bowl roster.

Day three they are worth it, but again, I am not a scout so take my thoughts with a big BIG grain of salt.

My UGA preference in order:
Dean
Wyatt
Walker
then the rest

Ok my day’s worth obsession with Walker is over. I’m not passing on Hutchinson for the one move low ceiling Travon Walker.

Huh?
You’ve had a Change of heart that quickly on Travon?

No, I still want him, but I opened my eyes and saw how stupid my “Take him at 2” thing was.

I mean, it took this long for someone to even make a highlight tape for him.

Yeah, it was a bit knee-jerk.

He’s not worthy of a 2OA and to be honest I think he’s a reach in the top ten too. Because I do not think he’s a plug and play 3 down DT.

Yes I think he will test well at the combine and it only takes one team to fall in love and take him top 10 but I still think it’s unlikely. (Possible yes but unlikely) He’s always been a mid first rounder and there’s a reason for it.

He’s a tweener as DT. He’s a small DT and his lack of size causes him to get swallowed up by bigger OL. Especially when he tries to move laterally along the DL. This will hurt you in run support. That is the main reason I think he won’t go top 10.

His strength is as a pass rusher but this draft has plenty of pass rush options that have been more productive than him. So why take him over them?

I think he’s capable of playing a 3T/5T roll but will need to bulk up some. I think he’s an awesome player but I still doubt he will go top 10 and definitely not top 5.

In the NFL he’s either going to be a 3T/5T guy, a DE or a pass rush specialist.

He’s going to have to gain some weight and mass if a team wants him to be a 3 down interior DL. So I think the team that drafts him high will be a team that runs a multiple front. They will likely see him as a DE to play a roll similar to how we used Hand.

So ask yourself. How many multiple front teams are there in the top 10 that need a DE/DT type?

HSV - if you won’t say it, I will!

Travon Walker may just blow up in the NFL.

The things he can do are unreal. I don’t even know who I can comp him with. I would say Trey Flowers for his versatility but quite honestly he is more athletic and probably stronger too.

You sure about that? Just wondering because I thought that too, due to his weight, but I haven’t really seen that when I watch him. The guy is a beast.

Too slow to be a good DE, too small to be a great DT. He’ll be a nice piece as a 5T on 1st and 2nd down but move inside on passing downs.
I don’t see him even being a top 15 pick tbh…unless he blows up the combine and someone thinks he can be a better DE in the pros, too stiff though imo.
