Finishes with 95 tackles (#2 on the team), 2 sacks, 8 TFLs. Pretty pretty pretty good
He never gets mentioned with all those recent great draft picks, but a decent first season. You can tell he’s getting it, and will only improve.
Not bad considering he was playing out of position all year.
Definitely keeps improving.
I’m expecting big things in his future
From what I’ve heard, he is the worst player in the history of the franchise.
It’s because he wasn’t playing at at at the same Pro Bowl level of Branch, Gibbs and LaPorta (Branch and LaPorta seemingly from day 1, Gibbs from mid-season). Some guys just take some time to develop.
Campbell is surging right as the playoffs start. He looks like a long time starter, and who knows what happens in the playoffs as he looks to be getting better every week still
I thought it was the worst LB ever in the NFL???..or something like that.
Just shows how ridiculous some people are.
Good thing I don’t gamble.
Great to see him playing solid down the stretch, but I would have had him #1 to have the smoothest transition to start amongst the big 4
Honestly he’s been fine. Looks like a solid young player… But imagine how much better shape we would be in if we took another pass rusher (kancey) or corner (banks, Forbes)
You know, I get that but had our secondary not had all the injuries they had it’s a different story.
I don’t know if Kancey’s 48.5 pff grade would have really helped us as much Jack has.
We have been relatively healthy… Mosely was a huge injury risk which is why we got him for a cheap 1 year deal. We really shouldn’t have counted on him.
Jack played adequately this season. In my mind he was equal to any veteran replacement level guy if not better. After a full off-season I believe that he’ll be a stud. I’m really hoping for a lot from him. I think he has pro bowl level ability.
You wanted Forbes over Gibbs?
Forbes was gone by the time the Campbell pick came around.
Horrible pick!
Kancey and his 29in arms lol
Still wish the Pats didn’t steal Christian Gonzalez from us.
He’s going to be a perennial All Pro if he stays healthy.
Jack has been an undervalued stuffer for our run D all year. He’s only going to get better, game by game.
I know. I haven’t kept receipts and really have no interest in that, but a lot of comments this year have been nothing short of disrespectful. Like, you might think the opinions expressed were hyperbole if they weren’t being shared so often.
I shared some screenshots and data in a thread the other day that discussed our strength against the run (and where he’s stacked up with tackles and snaps). We have us a player that I think our division foes might already fear (if they’re paying attention) more than our own fans appreciate.
