So I guess Brian Branch is the last unsigned player?

No worries, nowadays. At least “The Shield” do some things right…

Makes sense that it happened now, Branch should be soon as well. Rookies report this week iirc.

From Profootbalrumors.com last paragraph in the Gibbs article.

After this Gibbs agreement, the Lions have just one unsigned draftee — second-rounder Brian Branch . Chosen 45th overall, Branch is part of a glut of unsigned Round 2 picks. Guaranteed money stands as the main issue keeping a batch of second-rounders unsigned.

Man, that was a great show

And CC Pounder was vastly underappreciated. She wrote and directed most of them, along with playing a detective.

Top 5 all time show for me.

What is the show?

I have never seen it

Sort of related if he gets a second deal

The Shield

Principal writer is Kurt Sutter, who then went on to create Sons of Anarchy and Mayans. This lives in the same universe as Sons/Mayans and you will see actors from SOA, lots of them, doing different roles in SOA as a kind of nod. For some, their roles in Shield are the entree, like Walton Goggins as main character Shane, with his Venus Van Damme portrayal in SOA as a dessert (and that name is an inside joke/callback to Shane’s fake/burner identity hr uses as a cop in The Shield). For some, like Katy Segal, she appears briefly in Shield but is a main in SOA.

Thr only character I think that may cross all 3 is Marcus of the Mayans…maybe.

To me, its the best cop show Ive ever seen. I cant recommend it strongly enough.

Its right there with Breaking Bad, MASH, Battlestar Galactica and Cheers

I came on to comment on how no running backs got signed yesterday.
Wrong!!
And obviously, if you want to improve your running game, you do it with a rookie contract.
They don’t get many after that. Love the running back room right now!

Thanks, bro. I’ll look into it

It’s crazy. Actually makes me think the swing in pendulum making a first round elite running back talent worth it
For the real difference makers
Giving you a guy they’d pay $11m a year to ( Saquon send deal offer )
On the cheap rookie deal who you don’t plan to give a second deal to

A high end running back is a position that doesn’t need time to develop like almost every other position.

But overall I think it’s bad for the sport to not take care of those deserving

I see both sides to it, RB’s tend to fall apart physically fairly quick, so investing heavy in them can really backfire. See Todd Gurley and many others.

On the other hand, playing hard ball with fan favorites can really piss a lot of people off. Imagine how many Giants fans are wearing Barkley jerseys to the games for example.

Imagine if they didn’t ride Gurley so hard when he was cheap
Imo guy might be a hall of famer
Even with such a short career

If they don’t take care of the stars at running back
I see the league changing even more
