Leads Nova to two college basketball championships and now does it for the Knicks. Good stuff.
Dallas should have never let him leave.
Having lived in NYC for 4 years glad to see Knicks win if pistons did not this year.
Agreed. Except for Dolan winning a title. That guy sucks.
Glad they won in San Antonio. Oakley got to be there for game and title.
His dad was hired as assistant coach one month before free agency, it was a bit sus. But … it was effective.
Brunson also needed to be the primary ball handler which he couldn’t be in Dallas with Luka.
At the time it was the Knicks who were being laughed at for making such an effort to sign a role player in Brunson to big money.
A team without a drafted starter just won a championship.
A team starting 5 transfers won the March madness tourney
So buying teams works

Hate that Knicks and Floppity Flopperson have a ring.
I mean between OKC and NYK, some floppy fish was gonna cash in I guess….but yeah. NBA is Mega Ass.
I’m just relieved that I can stop pretending that I actually care about the NBA for another 4-5 months.
Agree - soccer isn’t much better either

I wish there was a way that all of those rioters from last night could be put in jail for shooting up Times Square and setting school busses on fire and destroying cars and defacing stuff with graffiti and hitting school busses with scooters for some reason and beating up police cars, among other things.
That should never happen again.
And I pray that IF the Lions ever win a Super Bowl…that we won’t EVER do that shit in Detroit.
*laughs in “the pistons have to pay duren 40+ mill a year and the lions need to sign gibbs to a huge contract two years earlier than necessary” voice…hate him all you want, but wouldnt it be refreshing to see this type of thing here?
Brunson and his style is why will likely never watch another minute of NBA. The Pistons started to draw me back in this year because I like their style of play. The NBA will 100% ensure any team that plays like that will never win. I did check out one of the Cav - Knicks games, and like clockwork, as soon as I turned it on one of Cavs was driving to the basket and Brunson European-football-style flopped so hard he drew a foul. Replay showed almost a foot of space avoiding contact. Immediately turned it off and will likely never watch another minute.
only commenting on this thread because of Brunson. He may be a fine human being but I despise to my very core what players like him have done to a game I used to love. And I blame the NBA for allowing and encouraging it. On the bright side, it’s one less distraction in life and allows for more time to focus on what’s important.
