Here’s the full Duren interview earlier today.

  • Always wanted to be a Piston, loves Detroit.
  • Wants to be a Piston for life
  • Respects media but all negativity was created by them
  • Tough to lose Stew and Tobias but likes the pieces we added.
  • Worked on improving his game this summer
  • Acknowledged need for improvement.
  • A real education to see the business side unfold.

This kid is well-spoken for a 22-year old. Unfortunately, there are going to be some boo-birds in the house when Duren takes the court. He’ll have to get through that too.

For a 22yr old kid he is well spoken, liked what he said ending last year was humbling. He got his first taste of the business side of pro sports and it was a learning experience.

I think most impressive looking over the summer is how he didnt say anything, kept his mouth shut even as narratives went negative. Impressive for a 22yr old.
