James Webb telescope

why would I want to leave? Doth I offend thee?

Actually you lack any entertainment factor and the rest of us are having a decent ride here w/o getting flagged and having our comments removed.

well the only reason I chimed in like I did is UBI is a super political hot potato and I just mentioned that super rich people are absolutely not going to let that happen.

Heck AI has been attributed to thousands of layoffs already and those people just gotta find something else.

that’s not political, that’s just how money works.

so to get things back on the subject matter

I’m not sure how Uranus has the most small inner moons and why not neptune since it’s closer to the oort cloud and can pull in more small objects, I would think.

Um-kay @Jah26 I think this is the distilled version of what my peabrain wasn’t grasping, or maybe didn’t want to grasp, about the consciousness you were pimping a while back. This video moved my needle to Well, Maybe, which in Nebraska is translated as Might Could.

Now when I say someone is dumb as a rock, it doesn’t seem quite so bad anymore.

This concept is growing on me. And I wish is knew it when I was reading The Anomaly a few years ago. If even atoms possess consciousness plus quantum uncertainy, the premise of mistake simulations entering out simulation would have made more sense to me, if any of this can be said to make sense.

Try this on for size, it’s much closer to where I have landed FWIW.

Solipsism and Practical Uselessness

Objection: If everything is one, does suffering matter? What practical difference does this theory make?
Response: Understanding Absolute Panpsychism transforms one’s relationship with life. Suffering arises from the illusion of separateness — fearing death, loss, or pain as if they happen to an isolated self. Realizing all is one removes this fear, allowing for freedom, peace, and joy.

The concept for black holes as birthers for another universe had that effect on me. This concept adds to that.

Soon I’ll be holding giant placards on street corners speading the word. See what you’ve done @Jah26

It depends on the arrival of the next comforting, shiny pseudo-scientific fact. You have to move quickly when you’re an influencer.

drifting into the danger zone …. sounds alot like the oneness talked about in a certain book that calls it “The Body of the …..” where being comprised of many individuals or members, together they come to function as one ….

love the path still!! keep posting

I love this stuff. I’ve taken some very VERY amateur photography with my telescope and it’s a bit sad that the human eye can’t pick up on all this wonderful color, that you have to do it with a long exposure. the orion nebula is really very pretty but when you look at it with just your eye its a white fuzzy.

They were doing that exposure on Uranus (LOL) to get a better look at the recently discovered S/2023 moon. But then spotted the new one!

Absolutely insane they keep finding these moons!

CFHT really kicked it off in 1979

Hubble in the 90s

Now James Webb

We just keep seeing more and more and more.

Im extremely excited for the eventual LCRT (Lunar Crater Radio Telescope)

Using a crater on the moon as a telescope. Able to collect radio waves from EARLY ages and blackholes
