Jameson Williams showing up ‘in a big way’ despite low production stats

PFF has him rated low, but, Dan Campbell doesn’t! He and Amon Ra are the best down field blockers on the team and among the best in the league.

It’s called not being a prima donna. He looks at the total picture and doesn’t have a selfish bone in his body.

This is kind of easy to do when you just signed a contract big enough to take you to the finish line with zero financial stress (assuming he is not an idiot….which….forget it)

At this rate he will sign a 3rd contract with very little tread off the tires.

edit - this is not to say that everything @LionFrog is not true, I actually agree with him 100%. Jamo is a team first guy. And his efforts on blocking and running his ass off on the clear out routes over and over speaks to this fact about him.

The main reason I was so pro paying him was what he did for our offense just by being out there. You can see it all over the all-22, teams are petrified of him beating them deep. He’s the reason the middle of the field is open for Goff, despite every single team we play knowing Goff loves to throw it there… he keeps the safeties deep, while our running game keeps the LBers up. Sometimes offense is simple, and it’s our personnel that makes it that way.

I was hoping he’d get off to a hotter start production wise, but that is coming. He’ll be key against defenses that don’t sit in a 2-high shell (like us). The Browns were like that and we were obviously trying to get it to him, but the timing was off. They’ll get there.
