I think the thing is this. As a pro NFL receiver you get paid… Sometimes a shit ton of money… to simply catch 2-10 balls a game. That’s it. That’s your job. You can’t kind of show up some games and then not others.
Tbh, if JAMO isn’t consistent the rest of the offense is not going to be anything close to what everybody thinks it can / will be.
Defenses will just key in on ARSB like they’ve started doing.
I like JAMO but tbh, he did nothing his first year. Was immature his second and kind of showed promise his third. The lions brass rewarded him with a nice contract when in fact he probably should have given them a discount for his 2 rookie years he did less than asked.
Anyway, you’ve been rewarded. Time to show up. No excuses

We can’t take him off the field, nor should we, he is a very good blocker in the run game and the defenses play different when he is in the game because of his speed. Take him off the field and it makes life for laporta and Saint harder.

He is a back to back 1k yard receiver who is getting better each year. R.E.L.A.X. We can revisit this thread when he puts up another 1k season and pushes for a pro bowl.

I forgot to mention that he didn’t have 2 rookie years where he did LESS then asked. Brad and Dan accepted that his “rookie year” would be a wash coming back from injury. They understood he was immature and needed time to grow. So would they have liked him to mature faster then he did in his 2nd (true rookie season) year…yes….but what your suggesting is HIGHLY inaccurate.

That was nice but it was put right in his bread basket. If he would’ve dropped that one… the crowd would’ve been on fire. The threat of his speed though did factor into that play..

Everyone in the know said he had a great camp. I think it’s an outlier. But I also think Goff shouldn’t rely on him to make contested catches, which accounted for 2 of his drops.

It’s kind of crazy with the talent we have at wide receiver and tight end, that we would have many contested passes. Remember when Ben was here… Guys were running wide open. I watch other teams and their guys are running wide open. Meanwhile, we have to force balls into tight coverage way more than we should. The offensive scheme has not been right for a while. We should not be struggling to score with this offensive talent.

I would like to see him add to his 170lb highschool frame. Being stronger would make him a better overall football player. But, he seems intent on sticking with french fries and skittles (per himself) as his primary foods. How do you get skinnier after being in the NFL for several years, with access to unlimited nutrition and the best training facilities in the world?

Lightning fast, but realllly not all there in the noggin at times. Flighty. Dizzy blonde. Whatever analogy. Dude is dangerous as hell, fully bought in on the team and city and is gonna have a big year.

I renamed him to Butter Williams about half-way through the game and now I’ll probably always call him that.
