If we can’t run the ball we are going to lose…there’s no chance this team can win being one dimensional.
Pretty sure we are 7-0 when running for 100 and 0-5 when not. It’s not going to magically happen with no LaPorta and a 1/2 Ra

This is so not true. Goff is just good and plays really well 80%+ of the time. We win or lose based on how we run the ball. See comment above

It’s a big part but lets be real bad teams have had great RBs. It’s still a QB driven league and no QB has thrown for more yards than Goff since 2022. Not saying it isn’t important but lets be honest…Bijan isn’t winning games for the Falcons or Saqoun with the Giants for example.
My issue with the Lions is getting the offense, defense and coaching all playing complimentary football. The Lions have been relying too much on the offense being a 30 point plus game unit, especially in bugger match-ups.
You sound like Dan. That and converting on third and fourth downs have been the two things that he has repeated over and over again.
When we run the ball well we almost always win. And Goff is deadly off play action. You wanna beat the Lions stop Gibbs and Monty

Jared is far from the only one that needs to man up for these games, there are no excuses for being sloppy and slow, and giving up on plays.
If those 150 yards all come on 3 carries from Gibbs I think that is more a reflection on the talent of Gibbs and some WRs that block. Now if D-Mo is running for 7 or 8 yards a crack and Gibbs still does his thing and we run for 250 yards we can credit the O-Line along with the TEs. Our expectations without Ragnow have dropped severely and I do hope we address this in the off season.

Speaking of Monty I thought he had some hard, physical runs vs the Packers. Just didn’t get many carries. Was moving the chains and scored a TD
If St. Brown is out. I really think you gotta run a bunch of 2 back sets with Monty and Gibbs on the field together. They talked about it in the offseason but it’s still pretty rare to see it on gameday.
I liked when they were using Horton as a FB against the Packers. When I first saw him out there I thought Rodrigo had changed his number. When you have weapons like we do a TE that can block can be used in pass pro as well as the run. Our O’Line is so terrible at picking up stunts and blitzes we can’t depend on Gibbs to stay in for pass protection.
Speaking of which Kayode didn’t practice yesterday and is questionable. Who is playing left guard if he’s out? Colon? Frazier getting his first ever start? Could be on a 3rd string left guard tonight

I’ve been a fan for almost 50 years. I’m never off the bandwagon but I’m just basing it on what I’m seeing.
lions are struggling right now with bad teams, let alone good ones.
Hopefully dan has them prepared, dallas is going to absolutely get to goff.
