Completely agree. I know we have multiple areas to address between FA and the draft but the Oline needs to be priority. To be honest I would not be upset if we went very heavy (2-3) picks on the Oline. Glasgow is not the answer at center or guard, Decker is retiring much sooner then later. I would not be surprised to hear he is retiring at the end of this season. We have no real quality depth as was proven this year. A guard, a center (or someone with center experience), and a tackle would make me happy.

Do you have the all 22? do you understand coverages? Because to me it sounds like you have zero clue what you’re asking for. A 20 yard gain is a 20 yard gain… who cares how it happens. Sounds like you do. Goff goes where the coverages dictates when he has time.. that’s been proven repeatedly. If the safety drops to the under route he always takes the over route. He almost always reads high low reading the safety. Defensive coordinators know this hence why they play alot of 2 high against the lions despite the run gm. You’re asking for him to force throws into bad coverage… he did that against Washington. What happened? Picks happened. Goff shouldn’t force a low percentage throw when a high percentage throw is avaliable, that’s smart qbing. You will never go broke making a profit. So yes it does sound like you have gds because when he does what you ask you’ll complain when it’s a negative play but when he doesn’t and profits you still complained because it didn’t look how you wanted it to look. So he can’t win. If that’s not gds then what is?

I once again ask why we dont run through the right side of our Oline more then the left.

Also, i think if we get a better C, IOL play will improve

Look at the pass grades between our OG’s and Center and ask me again why every team is blitzing the shit out of the middle of our O-line.

Wait a minute.

Are you and Nate really brothers?

Bingo. Seems like the easiest concept to understand yet, obviously, it isn’t.

Starting running QBs:

Lamar Jackson - Has missed 17 games due to injury and only played every game once in his career. Constantly dinged up.

Jayden Daniels - Missed most of this season with injuries.

Patrick Mahomes - Torn ACL.

Justin Fields - Benched.

Allen - Superstar.

Jalen Hurts - Bonafide star, but still some lingering questions about passing accuracy.

Brock Purdy - Missed 8 games this season, and 3 more the two seasons prior.

Caleb Williams - Budding star.

Daniel Jones - Torn Achilles.

Pocket passer Jared Goff: Has missed only 6 games in 10 years due to injury (two to a broken thumb with Rams; 3 for Covid in 1st year in Detroit); played every game the last four years.

Sooner or later, NFL owners and GMs are going to start realizing those extra runs aren’t worth costing you a $50 million-a-year player.

Now could be wrong, but every time Goff yells “Kill!Kill!”, that’s an audible to a different play, which i hear him yell at least 15 times a game.

Maybe that’s not considered an audible, cause i think they have two plays called every down. A primary and a “kill” play. Would love to be taught if I’m wrong here.

It’s not that Goff needs everything to be perfect, it’s that when everything else is perfect he is nearly unstoppable. Fix the damn oline.

Best ability is availability.

u r right, Goff checks the play depending on the D look.

No he doesn’t. He goes where he decides the guy is going to be most open, with the least possibility of danger. It appears he chooses a high volume of quick, first read throws, with little intention of letting other routes develop at deeper routes. He does this mostly with high precision and the results have been really good. Is that fair?

I want him to force it into coverage? Yeah sure . I’d simply like to see more PATIENCE when there IS time. It’s an area he could improve and our chances of winning with it. You can tell me you don’t see it all you want. I know what I see and there are many an open deeper shot available without much risk, that many an elite Vet QB will choose to make, over the guaranteed 7 yard completion. I’m calling for improvement in our highest paid player. Is this such heresy man? Because I’m not one asking for us to move on from him. I’d say that is probably the line between someone with “GDS” and somebody who can identify some areas where the guy (and many others) could do better so we aren’t left out of the playoffs again. Not putting it all on him certainly.

I feel like were taking this concept too far, lol. I actually find it somewhat of a compliment. Saying Jared Goff needs everything to be perfect is about the worst way to say that he wins inside the play design. Inside of structure and on time. With sequencing and protection and all of that. Its just the sort of QB he is. Some really great QBs win outside of structure. But that isn’t Jared. When he has those things he isn’t just good. He’s elite. Take Mahomes, Rodgers, or Allen - structure sometimes limits them. You want to keep them in structure because out of structure is often worse. Like Mahomes…hell he chooses out of structure by choice a lot.

You obviously don’t know what you seeing and I could break it down for you but theirs no point. You’re obviously already made up your mind even though you have zero clue what you’re seeing on the film.. if you even watch the film. Which judging by what you’re saying you don’t. Sounds like you’re just cherry picking to bitch and moan.

I see what you’re about pal. Have fun with it.

I’ll do that.

This is a joke right? Those dirt balls are absolutely intentional, and they absolutely equate to first downs or punts vs pick 6s…

If he avoided turnovers, and it led to drive stalls sure? #2 offense… #2 passing TDs

I’m just not sure how less yards, more ints, less points somehow equates to more wins?

To sum up the Lions offense in 2025. Beat up on mediocre and bad teams because of our playmakers and the other team basically couldn’t contain Gibbs. Against good defenses out offense looked below average because we couldn’t run the ball of keep Goff standing up. If Holmes doesn’t replace Decker and get us a starting calibur center, then this team has peaked. We didn’t even discuss the Defense yet.
