you guys would complain if we had a perfect QB, Goff lost two OC’s, half the team was out with injuries (again), Dan and Shep monkey ■■■■■■ our playcalling, both lines were laughable, Goff was without :Laporta and Ra-part of the season, our players were dropping footballs, whiffing on tackles, and did not play anywhere NEAR a healthy, whole, solid, team that played well together, we won 9 games in 25, compared to 15 in 24– We took a backwards step, HOWEVER Jared Goff’s numbers are strong as a NFL QB.
I have been a fan for 45 years. I have season possibly 5 seasons where they have had a defense that you could mentally rely on to get the job done. Couple in the mid-90’s, 2014, the first bit of last year.
And one of those guys is the leading MVP candidate and the other has people calling for a change to be made…..hmmmm…![]()
Yeah it’s almost like there are people that have working eyeballs and watch games. Goff isn’t in the same class as MVP candidate and SB champ Stafford. Which is why one is an MVP candidate and the other has never even been in consideration.
Your post is the definition of lazy and predictable.
And you have no response…. Which is predictable ![]()
My response is that nobody , this year, is calling for Goff to be MVP because the team isn’t successful enough. There is a big gap between MVP candidate and get rid of the guy.
Goff has had a very good year under challenging circumstances. Stats often do matter. 4500 yards, 34 TDs and only 8 INTS with an OL that was glaringly worse than the last few years and a defense that for most of the year was a major disappointment.
Four straight winning years, 2 NFC North titles, 2 playoff wins.
There’s my response. Looking forward to your negative spin.
No one has ever called for Goff to be MVP. He has never once been in consideration at any point of his career.
Your brain is really like a sieve.
Goff has never been single digit odds to be MVP at any point of his career. He has NEVER been a consideration. What talking heads say means nothing.
Yeah your little graphic means nothing. Goff was never an MVP threat. But you keep playing make believe
And Trolls gonna troll
Your narcissistic beliefs are not the truth to anyone but you….havent you noticed that? Of course you haven’t because a narcissist isn’t capable of that kind of realization.
Clue here: if once in awhile you admit you may have been wrong about something, it actually builds credibility. You have none.
That’s your takeaway from my post? Clowns everywhere are up in arms that you’re being lumped in with them….honk honk
The Lions have some problems.
QB is NOT one of them.
You’re talking about Scheme and what the Lions offense allows him to do. They have two plays called. He’s allowed to audible into the other play. That’s all he’s allowed to do.
I do wish the Lions would allow him to change the play call at the LOS - This is what you’re really asking but the Lions offense scheme doesn’t allow him to change the play.
Your criticism isn’t of Goff it’s of Dan Campbell and what he allows Goff to do.
But there’s a reason some coaches prefer this. They do not want QB’s taking risky plays that could change momentum. They would rather the play fail.
You’re making two different arguments.
-
He has never been in consideration.
-
Never been in single digit odds with Vegas.
You moved the goal post once the first argument was proven false.
MVP is as much a popularity contest as it is a qualification contest. Goff will never be popular when all the rage is on mobile QB’s.
Cam Newton won an MVP completing 56% of his passes. Which should have never happened.
Truth is Goff has been a Pro bowl level QB on two different teams. He’s proven to be a quality QB.
