A couple things on FA. One, part of this will be simple turn over. We’ll be dumping more salary to replace them with different guys. Just guys I tend to like of course… Then there is what I believe is the truth. One more lemon season and this staff is done and they have been put on notice. I know we all believe Martha like WCF before her are doomed to low expectations. But I also don’t think she’ll like to look like a fool if this team wins 6 games next year and she keeps everyone. So there is a pot of money and there is a desperate GM sitting on a 3 win team. He probably knows by now, that his HC and thus Defensive scheme is hampered, not helped by Patricia. But he can’t pull the plug either. He is not going to take a QB or a LT up top. He’s not going to sign a bunch of bums. He is going to go all out this year to save his arse. We’ll see and I do get the argument that the Lions is probably not where everyone in FA is dying to go. But money still talks.

Okudah’s teammates (Ward and Lattimore) were ready to contribute right away.

Okudah is a stud. CB’s that can cover and hit are rare and Okudah excels at both. His skillset translates perfectly to NFL and I think he’s a #1 CB from day one. I think the only way he’s not the Lions pick at 3 is if Chase Young is on the board.
