What is James Houston doing these days?
Rock is most likely replacing TA. He did fine last season.
Rolder could probably play Safer, in a pinch.
It wouldn’t surprise me to see Abney taking some snaps at Nickel.
I just don’t know what to make of Rakestraw? That 24 Draft Class has been pretty dismal.

Again its not great. But its not horrible either.
All the starters have a consistent above average PFF grade. And 3 backups are also well above average for backups.
Again PFF isnt the bible. But average to above average is as good as your gonna get unless you break the bank and sign a $12-15m aav DB, trade multiple high end picks, or draft one in the top 40.
Thats the only way you would be able to improve the secondary. I can see the Lions signing a vet FA in mid training camp. (Those guys dont want to have to go to much camp AND want to see a clear path to start) and maybe a few younger guys that get cut on cut down day.
But thats just a slight improvement on depth. No real impact on starting caliber.
By the trade deadline well see how they do, how Kerby and branch are doing. Then they might make a move. But i would prefer them to add more DL at the deadline vs DBs.
You can make your DBs look a lot better by not having the longest time to pressure in the NFL
