Guessing we won’t see many starters playing this weekend as they will get their workout in practice this week.
Discussed that the Giants and Jaguars are different styles so another benefit from these two joint practices come to pass.
An article in theAthletic discussed how these practices are also good to scout players on the other team’s roster in case some become available.
These practices are good because you can get in a rut in camp, spinning your wheels, the mundane. This gives a fresh look, I love that. Dan C.
If you ever been to training camp and to one where it’s a joint practice. You’ll notice that the feel is different. The energy is higher and the team does drills they do not do in normal practices.
It’s clear that joint practices are very beneficial to the players and coaches alike.
I personally enjoy watching the joint practices.
From Dannie Rogers:
WR Jameson Williams will be out at practice although Mims and Jonah Jackson probably won’t go today (nothing serious). #Lions
She clarified, due to the above wording, that Jamo is, IS, at practice.
Justin Rogers tweet:
Dan Campbell has hit the podium going 100 m.p.h. this morning. He might have come straight from the bench press to his press session
I remember some blowback from the league about having joint practices with 2 teams and the only reason for that is because no starters or only a few devalues the preseason games–which cost the same a regular games.
So, expect some reports from Baldy at today’s joint practice
will be scrimmaging v the
in about an hour. Hope to hear some pads-a-popping. Field conditions are amazing. Kudos to the groundskeepers
Word on the street from Giants beat writers is we are kicking ass on both sides so far.
Probably just sniffed a whole line….lol
He does have that type of energy about him.
I was hoping to see some video from the practices. I don’t see any yet.
I expect that later tonight especially as Baldy is there I think there will be a segment on total access as well where he is a frequent contributor. That is pure speculation on my part
Giants reported on twitter. I would assume that means the first team defense dominated.
Will have a detailed practice report later, but biggest takeaway walking off the field is that was the worst the first-team offense has looked all camp.
Giants WR Jaydon Mickens and Lions S CJ Gardner-Johnson had to be separated while hawing during 1-on-1’s.
