I was a Lions fan through Darryl Rogers and Matt Patricia.
Hardship has done one thing for us. You never have to doubt a GenX or Boomers loyalty. If they’re a Lions fan, they’re loyal.

My theory is that D’Andre Swift is contagious and Jonah spent too much time with him and got a case of the D’Andre Swifts.

No need to kick him when he’s down. It worked out well for both teams.
I like doing business with the Rams.

I was a Lions fan starting in 1970. My earliest memory is the 5-0 loss to the Cowboys in the playoff game.

But, because we moved to Cincinnati in 1976, I was more of a Bengals fan because my Dad had company tickets and took me to 2-3 games per year.

My interest in the Lions grew into a passion when they drafted Barry Sanders. Had season tickets from 1990 to 2009, then just bought them for years in the second market.

2023 was the best season I have ever witnessed.

When the Lions win the Super Bowl in 2024, it’s a sign of the coming Apocalypse. lol

When we were up 24-7, I had the strange feeling that I must be dead. It just didn’t seem possible. I think the technical term for it is “derealization.”

When the Silverdome went up, I could see the roof from the top of the swing-set in our backyard. But I didn’t start following until 1979. Don’t remember any of those games, just the paper bags and Monte Clark’s sweater. Then came Billy Sims and “Another One Bites The Dust.” While I remember him running all over the place, it wasn’t until later in the season that I acquired my first clear memory of a single play: Chicago’s kickoff return for a touchdown to lead off overtime on Thanksgiving Day. Mmmm, pain. Now THAT was real.

I was there for that. We walked out of the stadium just stunned.

JJ was always going to get more on the open market than the Lions would offer… Glad he got his bag, happy the Lions moved on. He was teetering on injury prone while in Detroit, he’s continuing that trend on a much larger contract. Hope it hampers the Rams bc they’re a really good team.

I think losing AD is gonna be a massive loss.

The offense should be good though

No doubt, but they’re a young group… Turner, Verse, Young and Jones III are no slouches… I think their defense can be average.
