Ugh.
That’s a lot of coin for Jonathan Allen at this stage of his career. I would have struggled to give him 15mil AAV. I was thinking more along the lines of a DJ Reader contract.

Well they just got better.
Less than ideal. Really the question with Minn is how good is McCarthy? But yea the floor on that team is really high.

Good signing for them. A move they could make by going with a rookie QB. Also extending their CB Murphy too.
Teams make choices all the time. To the Vikes Allen AND Murphy back with JJ at QB was a better overall option than Sam back with likely no Allen and also maybe losing Murphy.
Wow…the Vikes are spending $ like crazy. Hargrove, Allen, Center Kelly and now also a guard from the Colts.
Winning free agency doesn’t always lead to real wins or chemistry. This isn’t Madden.

Yep. 3x as many pressures as Allen and 3 years younger.
I’d be ok giving Levi 12-14 million per for a couple of years.

I have dug in to the guys left out there and even in the beginning and Levi was quietly very good.
I think the Vikings are paying for Allen’s name and the player they remembered and not the player he is now.

Yeah was surprised by his # also just the opposite way. Hargraves is about the same both together don’t have the effect #s wise as Levi , both do have great names and past play

What’s the guaranteed money? Man do DT’s get paid these days.
Which is why it makes sense to draft the ones that get penetration and affect QB’s higher in the draft and stop laying out high pick/FA resources on space eating Nose Tackles that are a dime a dozen.
