I feel WAAAY better about paying Goff based on his last few years than I would about paying Love based on 9 games.
Packers scare me a bit but I pray it’s a mega deal!

Good point. It’s not like paying a guy with a proven track record. Could backfire royally if you give 50+ mill per season. Crazy to think you play 1 full season and then demand 50 plus mill.

Come on. Let’s flood the packers with messages about how much better Love is than every other qb in the universe…and how jealous we are… and get thet kid paid!
He wants to set the market or come close.
IE. 56M AAV.
But Of the top contracts,
Goff, Lawrence, Burrow.
I think his guarantees will be lower.
Those 3 are around 80% (plus or minus 3%)
So say his extension is 5 years 56aav
$280m contract. But only $210 guaranteed or just over 70%.

Yea I’m not sure how great it is to draft a Qb and have them sit for 3 years. He gets to start in year four and has half the season looking like crap and then half playing great. You go 9-8 and barely make the playoffs, but then you smoke Dallas on the road. Give SF all they can handle but the end the game with a god awful throw. Yea go ahead and reset the market. BTW Baker Mayfield had a very similar season.
