K- Cups

Same brother, I have a mild coffee in the morning and then I usually sleep well. A coffee after noon and I will be staring at the ceiling all night and worrying about stuff that doesn’t matter

You’re going through Chris Farley movies all night long in your head.

Haha I wish, too much caffeine and I’m worrying about everything else that life brings.

That was great. Thanks bro. I’d would sit down with Pop 2 nights a week. A large Supreme Pizza from Vitales and a 6 pack of his Miller beer. Talk about the Tigers/Lions. My sis and bro brought him his Burgers and Pasta the other nights of every week. Good memories. I was putting on weight eating all that pizza and beer LOL.

Did you know that you’re actually supposed to wait for 90 minutes after you wake up to ingest any caffeine? I guess you wont have the afternoon crash then.

I figure I’ve built up tolerance to caffeine. But if I stop I get a killer migraine. Had a colonoscopy a few years ago and stopped drinking coffee and that was a mistake. Killer migraine on top of the sh*ts. Terrible day.

That does not surprise me, I don’t know why.

Love you bud but isn’t that showing how addicted your brain is to caffeine.

It’s hard, just enjoy anytime you can have with your Dad. I’d give anything for one more Supreme Pizza and Miller beer with him. We got to live moment. Make the best we can of it.

I suffer from migraines that I inherited lots of things trigger them. Spring and fall are the worst. But yeah I’m addicted to caffeine. Me and coach Dan both.

I can go a few days without caffeine, then one day I have a bit of anxiety - Drink a nice cappuccino… and bam, back to normal. I guess I’m addicted too.

So caffeine helps the migraines bud?

Coffee helps me wake up in the morning. I start work at 7am. And I enjoy it as well.

Not sure if already mentioned, but there are metal k-cups you can buy to put ground coffee in if you don’t like the plastic thing.

Those are really good.

Organic chemistry made me start drinking coffee last year. I’m actually thinking right now about what the hell I’m going to do down here at the beach this week for spring break. My buddy’s house has a coffee pot. What ground coffee can I get from Publix that you guys would recommend?

It’s not as fast as a keurig (nothing is) but my in-laws bought us a simple Bunn coffee maker a few years ago and it has been the best. All it does is brew pots of coffee, and it does that very well. The lack of features is its greatest advantage because there isn’t much to go wrong with it. Toss in half a cup of whatever coffee you like and it will brew 10 cups in about 6 minutes.

We used to have the whole variety of K-Cups, but we got sick of the stupid machines failing after 1-2 years. Instead we figured out ground coffee variants that we both like and customize it with whatever we put in after brewing.

I use k cups at the office, at home we got a Bunn single serve thing that takes any kind of cups or loose coffee or tea. Works great and has been durable so far.
