If a safety scores a 6 and above, that’s actually not bad at all. Safeties need to read the play well and be able to tackle. Being a 4.3 burner is not required. Glover Quin was the best safety we’ve had in my lifetime and I don’t think he was as a fast as some of our Lbs
I figure there must have been a reason, but I like Joseph for a Safety,
Our safety talent is bananas. Tracy Walker, Kerby Joseph, CJGJ, and Brian Branch could all start and be a threat at safety, Two years from now Brandon Joseph could too. Who has 4-5 good to great safties!
True. But did anybody remember late career Brock Marion?
So long as there is some speed; scheme and awareness can cover a lot of athletic shortcomings at most positions. It’s always a crapshoot figuring out which “unathletic” guys can overcome it.
I would have been fine with the Lions drafting Brandon Joseph in round 3. If I was the GM I would have got that “draft round value when he would be available wrong”. Always thought he was a player though
