Just terrible.
I never met Kobe, but did get to meet his father at an ABA tryout for my son. Joe owned the Las Vegas team. He was a good guy and very proud of Kobe as a player and a person. Money doesn’t buy you protection from tragedy, very sorry for Joe and his family!
