How about what the Chiefs did this offseason?
They could have used the franchise tag on Tyrann Mathieu… but did not.
Instead… they tagged Orlando Brown, and will pay an average OT a $16 million salary.
Then the Chiefs signed a cheaper safety than Mathieu…. yet again showing that they don’t place a high enough priority on that position to invest significant money into it.
