He’s one of the best athletes my home state has ever produced. His battles against Kevin Love were arguably the zenith of Oregon HS basketball. Two top 3-4 national recruits battling it out for State Championships is unlikely to occur ever again in a state of our size.
Duke degree and 22m in career earnings. Addiction and like mental illness. Not sure in what order. Tragic stuff. Hopefully he finds help.

It always amazes me that more people decide to ever try meth.
I guess there may people that still don’t know how inevitable the outcome will be for their life… but it never ends well.

He is definitely an addict. This has been an issue of concern for about three years from what I understand. But it does look like it’s gotten more serious. I think he still lives in Oklahoma though. Isn’t meth pretty big most places at this point?

Just in Oregon they smoke out in the open with no consequences. Cities like Portland, Seattle and San Francisco people smoke dope and defecate in the open public. Very sad

I dont see this ending well, on a human level i hope someone steps in because at that stage he isnt likely to self correct.
It sure looks like he’s near his bottom from the outside. What does it look from his inside? When is enough enough? When meth has dwarfed and atrophied his brain’s normal reward mechanisms, how do you leave the only thing left that makes you feel alive? Someone of his public stature surely has people who have broached the subject of addiction with him.

It’s ignorant bc as I mentioned, Kyle Singler lives in Oklahoma. It’s ignorant bc methamphetamines are ubiquitous in this nation and globally. It is everywhere. It’s ignorant bc the footage that I presume you are consuming from right wing influencers generally depict addicts in the grips of a strong depressant like fentanyl or heroin. It is ignorant bc despite having issues those are three terrific cities. It’s ignorant bc you are clearly trying to do the stupid, tribal chest thumping that keeps dividing people in this country.
