Lovett and Dorsey are the gunners. Not set in stone but I think that’s exceptionally likely to come to fruition.

He went undrafted after no one missed that Georgia catch and after eye-popping measurables, so I don’t want to get my hopes up. But I can’t help it. They’re higher than King Kong on the empire state building. He moves and catches so athletically.
I watched part of an interview and he seems grounded and mature, focused on family life with 2 kids. So…
He’s not related to Lyle Lovett. I checked.

Those 10 lineman are all getting kept. My guess is one of them will have a mysterious injury and start the year on IR to make sure we keep them all. Probably Manu

Seems like Lovett was more explosive at Mizzou. Maybe Georgia just wanted him strictly at slot

I would be shocked if they used a “mysterious injury” to place Manu on IR… because that keeps him from being able to work on his development.

Yeah, Cosell was saying the same thing. Those highlights looked like Lovett could do a little more than just be a backup IMO. His hands look okay, and he has some wiggle for sure. Usually small guys with RAC juice have brick hands, it always seems like. Especially drafted that late.

I thought the same thing, but maybe it isn’t that he can’t, but that they had someone else or didn’t want to risk injury.
He skillset seems suited for return work. I wouldn’t think the Lions would draft him unless they thought the No. 6 WR could also be a returner.
He did play special teams as a gunner.
If everyone stays healthy, I think Dan Skipper goes to the practice squad because Manu out plays him in preseason and because no one will be snatching Skipper off of our practice squad. If we keep 10, it’s because Sordahl has a sudden 3rd year leap. So I say…
