Who are we signing as UDFA’s
Cobee
Would have preferred White where at least you get the elite kick blocking skill set but Lovett is significantly faster. As was stated I think this is the eventual Raymond replacement on offense. He never returned punts in college though so we’ll have to look elsewhere for that when the time comes.
The good news is that we should have our pick of DE UDFAs. If you’re a UDFA and think you can make a team, Detroits a good place to start.
Brad has been watching GA a lot last year.
He’s got quick feet and speed but is a little guy. Gotta be a stash and develop guy for PR/KR and gunner
Coldstone
And remember that Meeks was their UDFA splurge and he spent three years at Georgia.
Brad clearly values pro level indoctrination. Which seems wise.
Little man can fly!! Can he play football? No idea yet
600 yards at Georgia back to back seasons…
So Zeirlein really likes this guy on NFL.com. He had Lovett rated as 12th best WR and ahead of guys that went in the third like Kyle Williams and Savion Williams.
You gotta like a kid with 55+ catches on average the last three seasons. Two at Georgia where he excelled as a gunner too.
His last season @ Missouri he averaged just above 15+ yards/catch. 1,500+ receiving yards over the last three seasons. Experienced with solid speed.
I think this kid has a real shot at a roster spot.
St. Brown, JaMo, Tim Patrick, Kalif Raymond, Teslaa and ?
This will be interesting to watch. For example the OL is Decker, Mahogs, Ragnow, Glasgow, Sewell, Manu, Ratledge, Skipper and the other rookie Miles Fraser. Would we keep 10? Unlikely.
3 TEs, 4 RBs, 2 QBs, 9 OL guys, and 6 WRs is 24 guys. VERY possible.
A poor man’s Kalif needs to show me an agility score. 3.96 short shuttle really shows up in Kalif’s movements.
It’s good to have fresh talent in our WR room including this UDFA who I know virtually nothing about except this juicy chart and mature focus.
He’s a Dan Campbell guy from the word go.
“Blocking when you don’t have the ball”.
Those could be Dans words.
Before any receiver gets the ball in this offense, they’ve had to show a willingness to block. It’s team toughness building, and, that is already present.
This kid was a Lion before he ever got picked.
Jakobie had a day against Georgia… (3 for 101 and a TD)
and it sure seems like the Lions liked watching UGA in 2024.
.
He had 50 catches for 839 yards (16.8 ypc)… and 6 TDs in 2024.
He played 37 games at Eastern Washington and didnt do too much… but had 1 good playoff game against Montana… 4 catches, 96 yards, 2 TDs.
