Gotcha. I just blend those two. Streaky shooting hyper athletic defensive stopping wings.
Not going to lie, I’ve watched a lot more of this game than I have of the Lions game.
I’m taping it but I’m excited to. Looks like a good one.
LOTS of commercials, especially with this “two minute timeout”
That UNLV team was amazing! They blew Duke out by like 30 in the natty. Course Duke came back the next year and knocked them out in the final four. Believe Duke beat Kansas for the natty that year. Another fun team to watch was Loyola-Marymount with Hank Gathers and Bo Kimble. Gathers died during the season and they went on a huge run. Destroyed Michigan in the tourney then got bounced by UNLV.
Absolutely. What’s often lost about Hank Gathers and his scoring exploits is that he was of the most instinctual rebounders in history. I once saw a documentary in which George Raveling was talking about watching him in HS and that he’d never seen anything like it. That it was like he was able to judge from the flight of the shot how it might careen off the rim before it even did so.
I remember that team well,
That era of CBB was awesome.
Hank was a true baller. What I remember most about that team though was the complete avalanche of 3-pointers they unloaded on Michigan. The crazy thing is Michigan played a great game just could not match the 3-point barrage. One Loyola Marymount shooter went 11-15 from 3 point range. Just a crazy game
Paul Westhead coached the Oregon Women’s team for a few years. This was before Graves took over and lifted their talent up near the top of the country. And they played that LMU sort of way. Was pretty damn entertaining even if they weren’t that good of teams.
Just picked up Jeremiah Smith in my fantasy league. How late into the year before he sees a feature role?
Umm…week 1??
He could definitely start over Brandon Inniss, and if he doesn’t, then he’ll get a lot of playing time.
He just got named a starter for week one by Ryan Day.
Howard’s starting at QB right?
Yeah. Day announced that a few days back.
Good. My big Heisman bet still has a chance! I was most concerned about the competition from his own team.
