I would never draft a corner in the first round! It’s a volatile position and high risk for injury. Fourth rd and later is when I would consider. The only reason to take one in the 1st he has to have Deion Sanders ability

We got Carlton Davis III for a 3rd round pick and he could be on our team with essentially the same contract as Reed. Brad didn’t want that.

Amik is a good 3rd/4th CB and not paid very much. Free agent pick up.

Rock Ya Sin - super cheap and great 4th CB - Free agent pick up.

1st round CB hit rate is bad. Free agent CBs are not easy to find, but compared to a free agent QB its easy. That’s why people swing for QB, you get one in the draft or you get crazy lucky with Goff or a Sam Darnold on his 4th team. CB - you can get Carlton Davis III for a 3rd!!!

Our best draft was high hit rate positions. RB, MLB, TE, S - they translate well to the NFL. The other best players drafted, RT and DE are also slam dunk takes. If the guy is a complete stud in college, he will be in the pros. The Jaguars swung for some mythical hall of famer DE and ended up with a decent guy instead of taking the college stud.

the record Rakestraw played in 36/49 games for Missouri. He tore an ACL in 2021 but had solid 2022 and 2023 seasons. Ankle snd hamstring issues caused him missed time in 2024 and a significant shoulder issue caused him to 2025. There is zero reason to think 2026 will be missed

Arnold is a viable starting outside CB who was getting better every game. B grade from me. Filled a need, has upside, bumps along the way looks like a long term starting CB to me.

Rakestraw-incomplete. I.

Manu = D, Vaki = C and Wingo was hurt as a rookie and wasn’t ready to go in 2025. Incomplete to me. I. Mahagony is an A pick. A viable starter. In rd. 6.

Just too many injuries to know about this draft class. I feel like this is a C draft class. Not awful, not great, still a lot of unknowns.

I think a better question at this point is the 2025 class. Tyleik is a viable starting level DT. A better A’Shawn Robinson. B+

Ratledge is a viable starting guard. Far from his ceiling. B+

TeSlaa looks like a stud. A. I don’t care what we gave up to get him,

I believe Fraser is good. Viable depth. A better Colby Sorsdal. B- pick to me.

DE AH looks interesting, Lovett looks like a keeper to me. Might replace Kalif. Dan Jackson is interesting too.

Solid draft class to me.

This is another one of his mistakes in my book , way over valued Reed, the difference between Davis and Reed is another one of the set backs to this group. Big difference especially in the run game and blocking. Davis was also better in coverage from what I seen. DJ is a guy I would like to see replaced.
