Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown still keeps notebook of 16 WRs drafted before him

Maybe the worm has turned. We never get late round studs.

I believe he is hosting a show on NFL Network today, 1pm iirc.

Self-motivated player.

Still like a couple others more, but it is nuts that 17 went before him. What a stud! A better Hines Ward and we got him on day 3!

Didnā€™t Branch do a similiar thing this year?

Funny how pop psychology and weak ass social media memes always suggest people get rid of past burnings, hurt, disappointment, and anger as a method to heal and grow, and yet in sports, they are used as fuel to excel. They canā€™t both be right.

Thatā€™s an interesting observation. Jordan would make shit up in his mind that he was getting disrespected just to fuel his play. Heā€™s probably the most competitive athlete ever. I love seeing that from Amon Ra.

Ra and his bro had Mooney on their podcast. Mooney says something interesting along the lines of where his head is at. He said early in his career he used disrespect as a motivator to play with a chip on his shoulder. Now that heā€™s been in the league a while he said his mind has shifted to where guys will respect him as heā€™s arrived. It struck a cord with Ra. It appears to be similar, but definitely a different kind of fuel. @BigNatty could expound on that much better than I ever could.

His level of professionalism helps to amplify his warrior energy, & he got that early on from his father. His sense of self worth helps him to feel like HE is already importantā€¦so what he is standing for matters more, as he loves himself.
Ra carries a lot of natural warrior energy, so he doesnā€™t have to conjure it as much as mostā€¦buuuuutā€¦there are many reasons that warrior energy would amplify, and different ways that it can. With Ra, itā€™s not all about him. Itā€™s about the team, his family, honor, the chivalric code, etc. All of these things feed into it.

Bringing the focus and professionalism to it, as well as the ā€œā– ā– ā– ā–  youā€ side of it is reeeeaaaally good. Though dichotomy of thought sort of exists there, heā€™s using both light and dark energy to alchemize his desired outcome and transmute all of the energy into the desired outcome that is ultimately coming from good/love.

Many people know about feminine to masculine polarity, but most dontā€™ know about dark-to-light polairty. This is enmeshing those energies for forces of good.

Loooooove me some Ra.

Right on - most of those ā€œshortsā€ and Memes are telling half truths, if not fully wrong. How do you ā€œhealā€ something that is part of you? When you stop judging it, there is no perceived need to ā€œhealā€ itā€¦
It was always perfect to begin with.
Letting go of the judgement is how you get out of groundhog day.
the perception that something needs healing is the problemā€¦too many ppl are fighting against parts of themselves, instead of recognizing that we all have all things (to varying extents) inside of us, and using it to grow from. Growing and healing are 2 very different things. What if thereā€™s nothing to heal from and all we need to do is grow?

I get the sense that ARSB actually loves the Lions and not just because they drafted them. I see a lion throughout his career.

Heā€™s definitely getting a second contract. So if he isnā€™t a lifetime Lion, he plays a couples years at the end of the road somewhere else. Which is fine.

Hereā€™s St. Brown every morning after waking up and realizing he was a 4th round pick over and over again.

Itā€™s interestingā€¦ I actually disagree with you here. I think they CAN both be right, depending on the person. I mean, there are 8 billion people on earth.

Some people respond VERY well to this sort of past ā€˜insultā€™ as a means to growth/improvement. It fuels them (although it might not make them very happy/content overall). Other people are crushed by it, and seem to blame a high school insult/struggle for their problems 30 years down the line. Some people just move on naturally, and donā€™t think too much about the past (as they are more focused on getting the most out of the present moment).

Itā€™s kind of like prepping for games or other big ā€˜moments.ā€™ Some people listed to hardcore metal or rap to pump themselves up. Some people meditate in silence. Messi kind of ā€˜wandersā€™ around the field for the first 2-3 minutes of every game due to intense anxiety, and then dominates for the next 90 minutes. Everyoneā€™s different.

Iā€™m just glad our guy has found the fire he needs to be awesome!

And he used his ā€œplayers choiceā€ game selection on NFL network to troll the Packers

Marcus Whitman on Twitter: ā€œAmon Ra St-Brown picking the Packers with one of, if not the greatest Playoff collapses in NFL history for his ā€œPlayers Choiceā€ game on NFL Network is one of the greatest trolls from a rival player I think Iā€™ve ever seen. https://t.co/yXo0iLb61qā€ / Twitter

I love that guy!
Randal El, too! Heā€™s done a hell of a job with that room.
I donā€™t think that gets said enough.
I wonder if him and Dre Bly talk shit?
These could be the best of times.
