Actually, the two practice squad players who played their first NFL game since 2022 performed well yesterday. Maybe Brad Holmes knows a thing or two. We’ll find out a lot more against the Packers next Sunday.

In case no one knew, Josh Uche is what separates a team from winning a Super Bowl, and being the 1958-2022 Lions.

They should probably add a few more players.
Not saying he was what we needed. Just pointing out that championship teams are aggressive when they have to fill their needs. They don’t sit around and hope for the best like Holmes does.

The only undefeated team in the league and 2x defending champs need more help than the Lions who have lost 3 of their top 4 DEs for the season and can generate absolutely no pass rush without blitzing? LOL ok.

I didn’t realize Holmes had to wait until the deadline to make a move. Probably needs to see more of his practice squad level pass rush before he decides what to do.

Uche is not the answer for the Lions.
Smith is about the best one I have seen that makes sense and could fit. Otherwise most of the names floated is just making change for the sake of change and it would not improve the Lions roster.

I can understand your frustration of Holmes not making a move. Strike while the iron is hot, right? But your abrasive style of communication is not gonna change any minds.

I don’t disagree…but It’s telling that the Chiefs are aggressive in filling their needs while the Lions sit on their hands and do nothing aside from pick up practice squad fodder.
The Chiefs are a championship team who are aggressive. The Lions want to be in the chiefs position and do nothing to fill needs. Holmes isn’t going to get there by sitting on his hands hoping for the best.
