I didn’t realize Holmes had to wait until the deadline to make a move. Probably needs to see more of his practice squad level pass rush before he decides what to do.

I don’t disagree…but It’s telling that the Chiefs are aggressive in filling their needs while the Lions sit on their hands and do nothing aside from pick up practice squad fodder.

The Chiefs are a championship team who are aggressive. The Lions want to be in the chiefs position and do nothing to fill needs. Holmes isn’t going to get there by sitting on his hands hoping for the best.

Did those moves make KC better or just add depth?

The Lions are not going to just add a depth player that they already have on their PS.

I want them to improve the roster. The question is if they are willing to give up what it would take and is it worth it. This is what is creating the schism on this board. I am not really sure where I sit. On one hand, I do not see the moves the Lions have made to date as ones that improved the roster. So that crowd that acts like adding 2 players off someone else PS or trash heap were “ads” has me fired up. But I also realize that the Lions are still building. And I am not sure they should be mortgaging the future draft picks for a player now that guarantees nothing.

I think the best they could do would be a Smith level player but that is only if the price is right. Crosby would cost way too much and more than makes sense to me. But I am here for it if the Lions win it all by doing that. I am on the side of agreeing with any move that leads to a SB Championship

He has literally put together a roster that won us our first playoff games in 30+ years, reached our 2nd ever NFCCG, is killing it this year, have somehow become NFL darlings, AND a place that all the players want to come play.
