Lions confirm: CJ Gardner Johnson healed could be back to practice next week

Safety has been a major sore spot this year. Combine that with the energy he brings and his leadership on the field and this could be a major addition. Also, as others have speculated, part of Kerbys inconsistencies this year may be tied to covering up for others shortcomings. We don’t know that for sure, but CJGJ coming back could directly improve both safety positions in the back end. Through is Houston coming back and Irvin hopefully getting back on the field and we have some reinforcements coming.

It’s crazy kind of sad how so many refuse to open-mindedly apply what coach’s say or anyone for matter says.

This. Is. Simple. Life. Application folks

“Prepare for the worst while hoping for the best”. Not rock science

MCDC tells us the truth about the worst case leaves it there as he gets it!!! He Can’t predict the future and he won’t try to to appease other peoples insecurities and lack of understanding…

Simple simple simple imho

Why are you including Houston in that trio?

Dan needs to back off the chew. Does he have bottom teeth anymore?

You could very well be right. I just thought it was interesting because he is normally very honest but seemed to be a bit more guarded discussing Duce and Houston. Could have just been trying to protect them

Because he hasn’t done anything this year, yes, it is due to injury, but the point is still there.

I’m giving Joseph a flyer this season. The corner play has been brutal, and he lost his training camp mate in week 2.

Because fans were counting on him to produce and he got injured running down the field in coverage. Like Tracy Walker last season, he looked good, got injured and hasn’t returned to form since coming back… To expect Houston to produce after injury is asking to be disappointed IMO

I see this too. CJ will likely get to 100%, because he plays Safety, & has a chest injury. A speed rusher with an ankle is a different story
