Once he signs that contract I won’t have a bad thing to say about him (yet).

We just lost our D-line coach. If he’s ready to retire, and he is, whether he wants to admit it or not, they should think about making him a defensive asst.

Can’t get hurt if you ain’t playing. I would think it’s easier to cut someone who is healthy.
An obvious move at a good time for all parties. He can see what he finds in free agency and we get some cap space. It does sound like the door is open if the stars align.
