The #Lions are the 27th graded run defense in 2019, one of the reasons for that is the slow start for DI Damon Harrison Sr. Snacks has earned a 58.9 run defense grade (90.0+ past 4 seasons) and a run stop % of 4.8% (13.0%+ past 4 seasons)
those new contracts are heavy. slows him down.
I think they’ll get a lot better. A whole lot better. Flowers is improving weekly, Hand will be back, and Bryant may improve us too (TBD). Daniels hasn’t really done what he’s capable of yet either. Lots of growth to come.
Mid-late season, we’ll be getting a sweet combination of coverage sacks and picks because of pressure.
Our LB group is totally underrated too. The way Patricia has been using Kenard is awesome. Such a versatile player. Loving me some Kenard. What an improvement from last year. Let’s get Davis back up to speed, and get Tavai some more experience. Reeves-Maybin is much improved as well. I actually view Jones as the weak link of the LB group.
