I actually think our throwbacks accomplish this, though I don’t really want to go to those as our mains. Definitely a singular look though and I like using them a few times a season.
I’m actually OK with the way it is now (except I think the gray is ugly and should be upgraded to a legit silver). All teams use white for roadies (except the Cowboys who use it at home… maybe the Dolphins too) so I doubt the league will even allow us to move on from it.
But as long as we don’t add any black I think we won’t look much like them. The Panthers use it liberally, especially on their helmets. Honolulu Blue, silver and white. Stick with some combo of that and we’ll be good.
I personally think the “white at home” thing is pretty cool, but only with certain jerseys. I think LSU and the Cowboys do it well. I don’t think the Dolphins do it well. Their throwback white on teal pants is pretty cool, but their regular white on white isn’t my favorite.
Now, they only wear white at home for the heat advantage, which in that stadium makes total sense.
Yeah that’s what I thought. It’s why I tacked them on there at the end. Actually surprised Tampa doesn’t do it too (the rest of the hotass cities are strangely indoors, though Houston and Arizona can play with their roofs off - which they never do).
It’s flat, but at least on my screen it looks a lot lighter than the gray of our unis? In fact it looks to match the shade on the Raiders jersey almost perfectly. Could just be my computer though. But if so, I think silver could work with it.
Looks like perhaps each team has a team color hat and a charcoal gray alternate hat. This makes the Lions black hat and the black (or is it dark gray) on the side logo interesting.
So I think the charcoal gray hat and Lion is just the draft alternate theme as other teams have one that is similar (a gray hat and grayed out logo). But it appears that our black hat is our main one?
Maybe…but it does appear that everyone has a dark charcoal one (almost black) but that other teams have one with a primary color (Packers and Broncos). I’m yet to see another team with a solid black hat.
